Ahhh the camembert, it’s like France on a plate! The origins of this wonderful cheese can be found in 16th-century Normandy, before going on to become the gold standard cheese in the 18th century. Just like our beloved baguette, the camembert is indeed an institution! And because here at MAISON CISSON we’re crazy about cheese, we’ve made our very own knitted version.

So, how would we describe it? First of all, it comes in an authentic box made from spruce wood from the Jura department in France. Next, there’s the nifty label that’s inspired by vintage French cheese labels. Open it up to find a knitted cheese pouch made from beige-coloured wool, and hiding inside is a re-usable polyester shopping bag with a red and white gingham print – for that added French touch.
